The Affiliate Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of our affiliate programs and delivering support to affiliate marketers and networks. The Affiliate Marketing Manager will continuously identify, evaluate and recruit new affiliates to drive company’s revenue growth; as well as work with internal marketing and product and technical groups to develop, implement and support affiliate marketing strategies and programs. This individual will coordinate and oversee campaigns through all phases of launch and roll out, including negotiation of affiliate partnerships and deals, contract review and approval, creative development, trafficking, reporting and analysis and optimization.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Develop and drive overall affiliate marketing strategy
• Identify new affiliate opportunities through prospecting, cold calling and networking
• Recruit new affiliates to run company campaigns. Sourcing, evaluating and recruiting new affiliate partners.
• Negotiating and reviewing affiliate advertising agreements (rates, placements, parameters, etc)
• Maintaining relationships with affiliates and other partners as well as motivating partners to improve campaign performance; maintaining relationships with network providers
• Daily affiliate management and communication such as eNewsletters and blog posts, offers, affiliate payments, and dispute resolution.
• Establish channels of communication to ensure all affiliates and joint venture partners have access to marketing tools, and to develop custom marketing material as required.
• Monitor affiliate activity, analyze performance, and identify areas of improvement, and recommend ways to increase affiliate-generated revenues. Generating campaign performance reports, providing performance analysis and executing on that analysis to ensure positive ROI.
• Monitor existing publishers marketing methods to make sure they are compliant with each program's terms of service and other guidelines.
• Manage publisher fraud risk by monitoring anti-fraud tools on a daily basis.
• Oversee the development and distribution of marketing tools and sales creatives to affiliates. Managing the creative development process to support the affiliate marketing effort (including copywriting and providing art direction and technical specifications), and ensuring creative trafficking requests are fulfilled.
• Manage A/B testing process to track creative and landing page performance, then use data to make optimizations.
• Coordinate with affiliates and internal engineering team to ensure timely placement of tracking pixels and set up testing.
• Work with internal development team to update and enhance affiliate capabilities and tracking/reporting methods as necessary.
• Present regular analysis reports including number of affiliate partners recruited, conversion rates, sales generated and commissions earned
• Initiate new campaign ideas, incentives, and bonus offers.
• Develop annual affiliate campaign calendar and rollout plans.
• Represent company at affiliate marketing related trade shows.
• Speak and conduct seminars at industry events.
• Ensuring Affiliates are paid on time and accurately.


• A demonstrated track record of prior projects utilizing the required skills listed above. Must be able to “hit the ground running” with minimal training time, supervision or direction.
• BA/BS Required
• Minimum 2-7 years of affiliate management experience
• Proven, measurable results in developing and growing an internal affiliate channel/program
• Existing publisher relationships that can be leveraged to make an immediate impact
• Ability to excel in a quota & goal oriented working environment
• Demonstrated ability to initiate and grow relationships through prospecting
• Knowledge and understanding of affiliate tracking and sale attribution principles
• Experience managing multiple, competing priorities, duties and/or projects. Proven ability to accommodate evolving responsibilities and last minute changes.
• Must possess strong knowledge of the affiliate marketing industry
• A proven negotiator who can build strong partnerships
• Strong organizational, analytical, presentation and problem solving skills
• Ability to compile and analyze performance data and metrics and make decisions regarding campaign direction based on your analysis.
• The ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and courteously over a variety of mediums
• The willingness to embrace and understand new concepts
• Understanding and knowledge of additional online marketing channels (PPC, SEO, email marketing, media buys, etc.) to be able to assist and guide affiliates
• Familiarity and experience with affiliate marketing networks
• Experience negotiating, purchasing and managing a variety of online media campaigns (banners, emails, pops, contextual, etc.). Experience with various deal structures including CPM, CPC, hybrid, etc. especially CPA and CPL. Experience managing, optimizing and growing multiple direct response online media campaigns and partnerships.
• Thorough understanding of online creative strategy development.
• Strong decision-making, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent project-management and time-management skills.
• Ability to work well independently and within a team environment.
• PC proficiency and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Generation of sales revenue or payouts to affiliates in excess of $100,000 per month
• Google Analytics experience
